Building a project is usually hidden until it feels like it holds together. For this one I intend to put this up as it develops. This idea started on May 22. 2025. It grew out of another project I’m working on “Ocean Oswego: Private ocean” which will demonstrate ocean plastic pollution.

Because plastic lasts for so long, every single piece of plastic ever made still exists, and will continue existing for at least 500 years. To put that in context, if Leonardo da Vinci had drunk water from a plastic bottle when he was painting the Mona Lisa, that bottle would not have fully decomposed yet.

All synthetic clothing is plastic. All sports teams, every Olympic athelete is training in gear that will not decompose, but it will all break down to poison (micro-plastics). Patagonia and REI and massive sellers of poison plastic. Electric cars are moving to more and more plastic and claiming it’s an improvement .

The blue bin plastic is 95% trash. All my groceries are wrapped in processed oil. Surf boards take a million years to decompose leaking poison the whole time. Biodegradable plastic, doesn’t degrade in the ocean. OMG we have no plan. Honestly I’m overwhelmed. Ugh my iPad case, this ipencil will never decompose…what are we doing? I have no idea what this will turn into, if anything.
